Certificate Authorities (CAs): CAs play a critical role in the SSL infrastructure. They are responsible for issuing and digitally signing certificates for websites. Popular CAs include Comodo, Symantec, and Let’s Encrypt. The browser trusts these CAs to validate the authenticity and integrity of digital certificates.

The SSL protocol is a vital component of secure communication on the internet. By employing encryption, digital certificates, and a robust handshake protocol, SSL ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and authentication. Implementing SSL not only protects sensitive information but also fosters trust and confidence among users.
